Zero
Hunger

It is a lofty goal. Generations of poverty in Memphis have the odds stacked against us but we believe that healthy, nutritious food is a right, not a privilege. Starting in the summer of 2024 we will offer no-cost programs for the community to learn how to create delicious, nutritious meals on a tight budget.

One way to stretch the budget is to eliminate food waste.

Dr. Luna Bennett of Union University is our Vice-President of Nutrition and Wellness. Dr, Bennett guides our curriculum as a speaker and instructor.

Free Feast: Our Community Gardens

Donations of seeds will be available again in the Spring of 2024. We are grateful to Faith Cumberland Presbyterian Church for allowing us to use their property to create community gardens where we can grow fruits and vegetables to pass on to members of our community in need.

Landmark Farmer's Market and Garden Training

Each year we visit Landmark Farmer's Market and Urban Garden where participants have the chance to learn from Mike and Karen Minnis about ways to gently produce abundant food in a small area.
